man, all that blogging sure helped me get a job!

man, all that blogging sure helped me get a job!

this photo is from Maine Bear Monitoring, more cute photos of bear cubs. thanks Alexandra!

I got a job in downtown boston, operational securities processing, a thrilling temp job! I start at 9am tmrw.

I def plan on going to the hungry traveler, which is on court sq in boston right near city hall, you can read a great review of it here Bostonist: The Hungry Traveler

I used to go to it every single morning, and get the same thing, two scrambled eggs and dark rye toast. I didn't even have to order or say anything when I walked in, he or she just let me know when it was ready

This breakfast is so crucial. Eggs and toast is one of the best things in the world.

I’d like to thank all that supported me on this blogging adventure and my job search. I’ve had a grand total of 6 job hunts, which has resulted in 3 full time jobs, 2 part time jobs, and 1 internship. What a long strange craiglist monster and careerbuilder fueled trip it’s been

Oh yeah there’s a program for Mac, called RAR expander. You can download it here. get the stable version

If you ever download .rar files you should get it. I was having problems expanding some files with stuffit, and this program saved the day

i have tiny hurricanes going on behind my eyes.

the last words of electroboy are "it sounds like thunder". i think.

i sometimes write what matt says while i'm on my computer.

yesterday was the boston marathon. i normally watch with my mom on the peaceful sidwalk in newton. we bring subs and chairs and cheer all day. not this year

went into boston, the t took forever, cheered on beacon st, hung out inside, walked through the crowds all around, streets were a mess, got to newbury, showed up at the corner of fairfield, left late

guangzhou

guangzhou

formerly known as canton

always strapped

ok, i really like the show bizarre foods. last year there were def ppl that watched deadliest catch and ice road truckers, and i'm a huge goober for watching these shows, but they get me so amped

i'm literally shouting while bizarre foods is on. the guy is hilarious, they show the nastiest stuff on earth, and it's all you can do to scream and squeal

it's going to be in the 60s tmrw. which means i can sit outside after noon. this is fantastic. something to look forward to. i can't believe how pumped i am for nice weather, at least i'm not taking it for granted

bruins lost, couldn't get a goal, i don't really wanna watch their next game. i'm working on deaddicting myself from sports and tv, at least i'm out of the denial stage

vacuuming your car

vacuuming your car

once every 8000 years, you might vacuum your car. i did today. i nabbed this photo from basstown

here are leaked scientology documents, pdfs are right at the top

Church of Scientology collected Operating Thetan documents

matt is sick, and he's trying to get me sick by being sick and never leaving the apt.

bruins won in overtime. great game, next game is tuesday. it's called bruins

sox beat yankees. it only took like 4 hours and 15 minutes. everyone was freezing at fenway because it's 40 degrees out.

yo, spannered.org, i don't even know where to start, Spannered

aright dubstep excess. too many mixes! keeping up is hard fun work

i decorated the radiators in my apt. there are many useless radiators in my apt. they look stupid and ugly. i'd like to spraypaint them, or paint them.

there some open store in union sq that sells old antique radiators. a couple were gold.

DJ Mix Downloads

Dr. Waumiau mixes

saw dj flack, dj c, and dj ripley last night. they were all soooooo good. here's a link to dj ripley's page, she's incredible

DJ ripley

me gusta! the bassline she was playing was very nice.

tonight was another sports epic. though it becomes apparent that when you are watching tv you aren't being very social! so you gotta make sure that you remember how to be social after watching a lot of tv. tough, but possible

celtics won, red sox won. revolution lost, bruins lost. bc hockey beat notre dame to win the ncaa hockey championship after reaching the finals for the 3rd time in as many years

went to b. selznick's today and ate chicken wings from wing it. i told him to get the extra spicy jamaican jerk boneless wings. it was fun, with fiore and marques.

took it easy, had a really fun week going out a lot, very happy with the way things are going, actually doing networking which is cool

feeling good and talkative. the weather was crazy today! cold rain and wind, then sun, warm sunny weather, then clouds, rain came down, showers, then sun and beautiful pastel sunset

your mom reads books

your mom reads books

ahhaahhahahahahahaahhahahahahahha your mom reads books!

so there was a flyover for the sox game on tuesday. not sure if you heard or not, but the 4th F-16 pilot did an "unusual" maneuver and has been grounded.

you gotta check this out, i was actually walking on the street when they passed over. they were very loud Fenway F-16 Fly-Over

i was at milky way tonight, i'd like to make it back over tmrw night to see dj c. dj c is nice beyond all comprehension

i guess this site has kind of a cool description Bouncement 3

actually, i hafta go, because if i go then i will have gone to three boston dubstep shows in one week, all of the fliers of which i've posted here. in fact i'll prolly be the only person that's been to all 3. that's some aggressive flyer posting, but i'm 2 for 2 so far

so today was sunny and beautiful and warm. i got outside at 1:30pm, tried to get some sun and look less like a vampire, then got more sun playing basketball, then got super winded from playing soccer.

point being -- i spent all of last year working on weekdays. i didn't take a single weekday off from like march to october. which means i didn't spend a single weekday sitting in the sun.

i got sweet revenge today. there better be some weather like that soon.

the sun and the soccer have taken their toll on me, i gotta crash like the movie crash, which sucks (can you believe how serious hollywood takes itself if a movie like crash is supposedly the best movie? please.....)

just nothing but.....

wow, fun and music overload at this point. really fun day yesterday, paul and i chilled while pat actually froze his butt off at the sox game.

pat, you shoulda known it was gonna be cold! bring 8 jackets, hats, gloves, seats, and blankets next time.

but people gave him compliments on his hat, which is gold and black

oh yeah me and macklin watched he got game. it could use some better editing and it's melodramatic like all great american movies, but ray allen and walter mccarty and rick fox are all awesome.

ben, back, back, hack, fat hack, kind for trey the dogwalker, 30 rock at fulk. chris pizzle and fizzle, a couple, and then like banzuke or something on g4?

playing on beandip: flying lotus, weezy, juelz santana, ripley, webbie, boosie, whiteowl, lupe fiasco, booka shade

wooo last place i worked i downloaded a lot of music onto the work computer, can't do that again

aright, anti-slack. except there's champions league soccer, celtics, sox, revolution. break out the reserve auxiliary third mini tv

what a beautiful life what a beautiful life what a beautiful life

what a beautiful life what a beautiful life what a beautiful life

i got this photo from someone commenting on it

so kansas won. i was deep in great scott, but i actually turned my head just in time to see kansas hit the tying three

memphis missed 4 of their last 5 free throws, and i think shot like 1 of 9 for their last shots. this is from glossing sportscenter.

and they didn't take a timeout or foul on kansas's last possession to deny them a three point shot.

well john calipari, you blew it. having blown it before, i feel for ya

great scott was fun tonight. Die Young, DJ DRI.K, and Gui Boratto. hours of dance, pulse and bumps

met some folks, had a good time, got tired and hungry, still lasted late.

i talked to the guy that was doing the visuals, he usually djs.

i talked to a canadian who is getting a phd at the harvard school of public health.

i talked to someone who introduced me to her husband.

i met Vicki from Basstown and one of her friends. good times!

i'm gonna finally get up and go do this lee hecht harrison career counseling thing because i am not doing a good enough job with my resume and cover letter and interviewing and presenting myself.

the dribble drive motion offense that memphis uses is awesome. the california high school coach that created it gets 300-400 calls a year from ppl that are interested.

oh yeah and i've gotta read what color is your parachute. i am going to view this as a good thing. the positive attitude is essential.

whoa i'll actually take the red line tmrw morning, it's been days since i got on the red line. i hope i get a copy of the metro

my legs hurt from standing and dancing, i should take advil before i go out to these dj shows.

it's all about the endgame

the hottest under the sun

the hottest under the sun

not really. today there was no sun and no heat.

there weren't many ppl at enormous room for dubwise tonight, kind of a weak turnout (i just wrote tournament)

weak tournament then, blame it on the rain the cold and the wind, in that order

i'm sleepy and mumbling on my keyboard. my keyboard mutters and stumbles over diction.

but enormous room was fun, much better than if it's crowded. just relaxing and listening to the dubstep and bassline tunes.

like they say, Bostown Massive, Boston -- Ave It!

snippets -- some don't like toast, some don't jam, some really don't like peanut sauce that goes on pad thai

i drink shirley temples these days. the waitress says "are you kidding me?"

looks like it might be nasty weather today too. no big deal, just smile!

little magic before tragic

little magic before tragic

this is why, and not why, i am blogging at 3am:

a. i got up at 8am to watch dartmouth womens crew lose to northeastern.
a.a i'm going with my parents at noon tmrw to worcester to see dartmouth heavyweights race holy cross. i was not in worcester, ma when the dartmouth lightweights won the eastern sprints
b. i napped til 1:30
c. the sun will rise tmrw (you remember that movie with tom hanks where he's like stranded on the island? at the end of it he says this inspiring thing where he's like "...and the sun will rise tomorrow...")
d. i hung out with friends in overalls. they were in the overalls. appalachian mountain party or something. you gotta get someone to do A M C with their fingers.
e. we went to beacon hill pub where there was a young alumni of greater boston thing

except that there was no room or space or free food or free drinks. instead it just got crazy and crowded. but i had a blast and really liked talking to all my friends and it made me feel like a million bucks

currently watching the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford. it's really really good

prolonged list

f. bought tickets to go to basstown and see gui boratto monday night. gonna hopefully meet some heads. super amped
g. that's it, chillin with m and f. we go on

The stars never change

The stars never change

too lit to deal, walk across the common.

across the gardens, across the common, to the alley, the transportation building. sweetwater til estate opened up, had to shell out funds to get in, kicked it and hung out in the room with the naked sushi and body painting.

well, that's one way to spend an evening

you can say it's unsafe, raw fish and body heat.

this was INTERACT 4--Citizens of the World. you might have been there for the Sample sushi presented on nude bodies.

nela clued me in last night, turns out the same goth belly dancer electric violin woman (i can't make this stuff up) was playing tonight too, but ben and i kinda spazzed out and left early.

we were gonna follow a couple people into gypsy bar, and we were right there and about to bypass the whole line of ppl when i froze up and couldn't follow through.

it's all good though. there was at least some food, and the naked sushi and body paint were worth it. it was some experience, i'll give you that.

i really like watching bizarre foods. i don't really eat them, but it's crazy that ppl do!

i got a very nice message from Vicki from Basstown. i'll make it to the great scott show next week with gui boratto.

basstown rules. they keep shoulders shaking in Boston

Basstown

i voted for DJ Die Young for best Boston DJ, he rules, vote here on the Phoenix Readers' Poll 2008

Boston's Best DJ

the whole phoenix best of boston list is very long. where do you start?
