yo what's up. i'm about to go to the sports depot with matt so that we can watch bc virginia. matt's being a pal and coming with me. it's his night to kick it! sweeeeeet

i have to do this a couple times a year, you see, because there is inevitably one or two bc games that are broadcast only on espnu. comcast does not get espnu, and it doesn't make sense to get satellite just for one channel.

so i have to go to the sports depot, but it's not that bad. i like their chicken taco salad, so i'll eat something good

matt and i are just gonna crush, maybe watch some of the bruins game or whatever other games they have on, you never know what you're gonna see, random teams

BOSTON (AP)—Rakim Sanders scored the go-ahead basket on a putback with 0.4 seconds left and Boston College beat Virginia Tech on Saturday night for its fourth straight victory.

Virginia Tech, which trailed most of the game before going ahead in the final minute, took its final lead on A.D. Vassallo’s free throws with 14.5 seconds to play. But Tyrese Rice brought the ball downcourt and drove to the basket; his floater bounced off the back of the rim, and Sanders leaped to lay it back in.

Tech’s desperation inbounds pass was knocked harmlessly away as the buzzer sounded.

Rice scored 16 for Boston College (17-6, 5-3 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Jeff Allen had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Hokies (14-7, 4-3).

i wouldn't recommend changing your template though. it's a hack and a cut and paste job, and you might have to redo stuff like your links section

also, it's hard to see that i'm linking to something, but that was a link above. i might have to deal with that, figure out the style sheets or something or get jeff to look at it

wow terrible weather. it's an icey slushy rainy mess. there was literally a lake on a street by my house. like, you had to wade through it. pretty bad. sunshine tomorrow.

i was supposed to go to the gym yesterday, but unfortunately i talk a big game and ended up not going. i was deflated after doing errands in central sq, and lost motivation.

also, call of duty 5 is a wonderful game. we play it a lot now. it is nice! it makes you not want to do other things lol

aright, this isn't gonna be enough, but i gotta get something up here before the celtics game starts

i'm still sleepin on a couple of things, including a music post, an obama post, and some links and a new blog to put up. but fear not, i will get them up, maybe even today

i got this new vacuum cleaner, actually a used one from a neighbor that moved, and it's awesome! my old one didn't work very well, but this one cleans carpets and floors and everything! yeehaw!

so i've had a good couple of days. friday i caught up with shane, i'm gonna call him soon cause gchat doesn't do justice to old friendships, ya know?

friday i tried to go out, specifically to ben selznicks birthday party. but we were thwarted -- i first forgot that there was a bu hockey game, so i got destroyed in traffic along comm ave for a while. then i forgot that you can't park in boston -- anywhere -- so i got destroyed looking for parking

so i gave up and went back to central and got mexican food. which was good. and then i felt a lot better :)

yesterday was rad. first, matt and i went to the bc nc state game. bc won! it was a good game, bc did a lot of things right, and we were pleased. i'm glad matt got to come see a game, fun times

then, kate and i went to see the dartmouth harvard game. i know i've been talking about these games all week, but they did turn out to be so much fun! dartmouth won in overtime! yahhhh!!! good turnout of dartmouth fans, and then i bumped into sam beattie and his family, and sam and i are finally gonna hang out after missing each other at head of the charles

hi. well, waking up after a night of strange dreams makes me wanna do something to ground myself a lil, and writing's gonna help. i have some quotes and maybe photos and new blog links and stuff to put up, but i'll do that later

last night kate and i went to dante, and the food was outstanding. i got ice cream instead of cake for dessert, which i didnt really know when i was ordering, but it was still really good.

inauguration was fun but i still need to go back and listen to parts of it again. wasn't it inspiring?

rena has asked me to write a music-centric post to be linked to from the paddock music library blog, so i'm looking forward to doing that

skies were clear yesterday finally, nice sunsets and everything. i've gotta watch the celtics game on tape

i think i've realized how relatively short my posts are, compared with other people who invest more time and effort. but you know what, that's ok. i really like reading other ppls long posts, and it's just less stressful for me to keep my posts short. so it's a good thing

hey how's it goin. i shoveled our sidewalk for like the 3rd time in the last 24 hours today, i like shovelling cause who knows if they're actually gonna send someone to do it this time. cept i didnt really wear gloves, so now my hands are a lil beat up, but i could use that anyway! at least they're not like crew hands

hmmmm. this saturday i'm going to both the bc basketball game and the dartmouth basketball game. bc plays nc state at 2pm, then dartmouth plays harvard at 7 i think. wow it's gonna be a great long day of watching some good basketball from great seats! i can't wait

tmrw bc plays georgia tech. im amped for the game even though bc has lost 4 in a row. cmon eagles!

just been hanging out with matt and clynton at home. everyone's been kinda snowed in.

i think i gotta rally and go to the gym, which i think should be open today.

saw all the 9 fulk regulars last night, sup fools, and jamdunn, balloon fields are sweet.

there's nba on tv all day today, including the marquee game, celts suns at 8! aright! let's go celtics!

well, i guess it's been a while since i posted. in that time bc bball lost to wake forest, and the celtics beat the nets, which was awesome. my mom got the sierra club wilderness calendar in the mail, and i'm sure it's up in the kitchen now.

celtics game was awesome tonight, what a game! celtics won in overtime! nice. paul pierce was huge. scalabrine got 11 points. apparently we've never lost a game that scal started. not a bad streak!

was gonna write more yesterday but then got sidetracked. got caught up on blog reading today. i need to dl netnewswire and get all my feeds entered back in.

so yeah saturday night was fun. good music. he was still djing at like 1 15 am when we left. i got some photos too that i'll post. not great photos but whatevs

gonna go to the gym tomorrow so that i can increase my vertical leap and get in shape.

oh yeah so perk's injury is just like what i had, his shoulder keeps on dislocating. he had it surgically repaired so he's just really messing it up at this point, it's painful for me to watch

i wish i was in the florida keys or aruba right now. i'm seriously aching for a beach and some blue water and warmth and sunshine. boston, you're a bastid!

i got a car wash to get some of the salt and stuff off the car, which was probably a good call.

i can't believe it dude. bc lost to harvard. by TWELVE. after beating the number 1 team. needless to say, i'm devastated. now i don't even know if bc will be in the big dance. crushing defeat

also, jags is gone. oh well.

chris lost power tonight, so we went to r.f. o'sullivans with kate and rob. i forgot that i feel sick when i eat a burger. so i ate a burger (way too fast) a while ago, and now i still feel kinda sick.

buffalo is better. why can't i get buffalo at more places.

well, for once i'm gonna go to bed on time tonight, but how weird a day was it? it sounds like jags is done. the bc athletic director said that he "was" good, so that means he's gone for good. just too weird, surprising, and unbelievable a story

of course the worst is for the actual players. a lot of alums are pretty depressed about it right now. it's not a good sign for anything, but let's hope that they can find a head coach and have another good season.

so the ice was crazy this morning! i talked to a doc who said that he saw 6 people for broken wrists today. so terrible, there was just a coating of ice everywhere, i guess it was some freezing rain, but boy was it hard to walk down the sidewalk. ppl were walking in the streets it was so bad. i'm glad i didn't fall

also turns out i can't go skiing this winter because i might reinjure the old shoulder. but it's cool, i think it's the right idea, and it's better than going out skiing and being super paranoid about falling, even though i don't think i fell once last year

oh yeah the north carolina game, as is one of the most exciting things ever that's totally overshadowed by something stupid. the north carolina game was terrific. the three big scorers were incredible -- tyrese rice, reggie jackson, and rakim sanders. the supporting cast was good too -- josh southern, joe trapani, courtney dunn.

also, al skinner had a good game and roy williams did not have a good game. which was fine by me!

been hanging out, time sure has flown by since i last blogged. been trying to watch movies and listen to music and relax and hang out and see ppl.

in case you didn't know, boston college lost its first bowl game in 9 years and its first non conference game in 5 years this week. it was very sad, but we're moving on

i like this song called lake erie by nat baldwin, it's pretty good. query -- haven't the non bcs games been better than the bcs bowl games so far?

Sylvia thinks that the new animal collective album is their BEST ALBUM EVER. i think this is a possibility. sung tongs will forever be my fave, but i've got a feeling that this new album might take the cake

i'm trying to watch some documentaries on my computer. i downloaded dub files, which is a poorly edited, too long documentary with extended interviews with a ton of dubsteppers and original rudebwoys haha. it's pretty cool. maybe i'll write about it or do a full review when i'm done

i also got this movie called musically mad, which is about reggae soundsystems and the technicians that set them up, i still need to watch it, but it just looks like interviews with rastas about these giant speaker setups.

tonight i'm just laying low and staying warm, boy was it cold on new years! went to hungry mother for dinner, then partied in cambridge. i'm glad i wasn't freezing outside somewhere.

i just wanna watch: celtics, soccer, falcons game, bc bball game, and any other football games. should be fun

oh yeah maybe my new years resolution should be to spend more time READING BOOKS and WATCHING MOVIES and actually listening to ALL THE MUSIC I HAVE. haha. k, not sure how entertaining or informative i'm being, but hey, better late than never, and better something than nothing.
