this is why, and not why, i am blogging at 3am:

a. i got up at 8am to watch dartmouth womens crew lose to northeastern.
a.a i'm going with my parents at noon tmrw to worcester to see dartmouth heavyweights race holy cross. i was not in worcester, ma when the dartmouth lightweights won the eastern sprints
b. i napped til 1:30
c. the sun will rise tmrw (you remember that movie with tom hanks where he's like stranded on the island? at the end of it he says this inspiring thing where he's like "...and the sun will rise tomorrow...")
d. i hung out with friends in overalls. they were in the overalls. appalachian mountain party or something. you gotta get someone to do A M C with their fingers.
e. we went to beacon hill pub where there was a young alumni of greater boston thing

except that there was no room or space or free food or free drinks. instead it just got crazy and crowded. but i had a blast and really liked talking to all my friends and it made me feel like a million bucks

currently watching the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford. it's really really good

f. bought tickets to go to basstown and see gui boratto monday night. gonna hopefully meet some heads. super amped

nela clued me in last night, turns out the same goth belly dancer electric violin woman (i can't make this stuff up) was playing tonight too, but ben and i kinda spazzed out and left early.

we were gonna follow a couple people into gypsy bar, and we were right there and about to bypass the whole line of ppl when i froze up and couldn't follow through.

it's all good though. there was at least some food, and the naked sushi and body paint were worth it. it was some experience, i'll give you that.

as you can see i got way too excited about quasi-being in a couple of these photos

today i meditated twice (good job dave!) and lifted weights (good job dave!). i want to write and clean and organize and accomplish

tmrw night is umass v florida, sox v as, and celtics v bulls. what a night! watching sports for 5 straight hours? no big deal

oh yeah, i got somethin for ya. it's a program that allows you to disable the sound coming from any application.

as in, it's a mac app that lets you disable the sound in safari. i've got it set up now so that my safari does not make any noise (from myspace pages or the enormous rooms awful awful awful awful web site)

there's a menubar option too so that i can turn it off whenever i want and get the sound back to watch youtube or something.

after talking about this yesterday, i'm thrilled to have implemented it.

hmmmmm yesterday i downloaded music (suckaz!, as chris says) and sat here under siege for a bit (i'm not gonna explain here). saw rob b., then watched the movie screamers with miss s. and serguey. really funny freaky bad scifi movie

i'm good. talked to some folks today, i'll have a job soon enough. not really frustrated, just demonstrating proper response techniques

having a really good time. hung out with jeff and matt and pat today, brookline lunch was closed.

we went to the attic, pat got a black and gold sox hat and we looked at the paintings of the guy that's making a mural on pat's wall.

the footlocker in central sq leaves much to be desired.

went to cambridge coffee shop, watched celtics replay.

went to harvard museum of natural history, saw the glass flowers exhibit, totally lifelike.

i feel the same way. finally got frustrated today. i'll write a good cover letter though and take it from there

so on saturday i was driving around back bay, and just happened to pass by groups of scientology protestors wearing guy fawkes masks. i didn't know it was the second worldwide protest

i yelled in support out my window and they were pleased and shouted.

at a stop light i received a business card in return for my exuberance, passed by hand through my driver side window
