i like to watch movies with subtitles on
is this weird? do you do this? like, even if a movie's in english, if there are subtitles i'd rather watch it with them on. i feel that i catch all the dialogue and it's easier remembering peoples names and stuff. i don't do this when i watch movies with other ppl tho, just if im starting it by myself

i remember you did this once and i wondered why i hadn't been doing it forever. now, i feel like the sanctity of the frame should be preserved so as to better crystalize the vision of those who worked so hard to make it look the way it does. but maybe thats just cali talkin.
hmmmm good argument drew, well played. you're definitely more of a director/producer/writer, and i'm more of a student/critic/theorist, so it's good to hear some other thoughts to get some perspective. thx for the insight :)
